Wendy and Chris Long extend a warm and hearty Cornish welcome to all their guests at the delightful Chapel Guest House, rated Four Stars with Silver Accolade by Visit Britain in their Guest Accommodation category. Situated just to the north of St Austell, in a charming valley, this former Bible Christian Chapel has been transformed into a warm and convivial Guest House and home which has kept many of the architectural features of it's original use.
The guest house is open all year round and is located very close to many of the area's major attractions such as the Eden Project, which is only three miles away.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a mere eleven miles from The Chapel, and worthy of a full day's exploration. Charlestown Harbour is where you will find tall ships and lovely local restaurants.
Just five hundred metres from the guest house is the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and Country Park, part of the Cornish mining World Heritage site, detailing the historical and social importance of the china clay industry: It is also the start of one of the "Clay Trail" Cycle Routes.
The Victorian country estate of Llanhydrock, now owned by the National Trust, is a well-preserved example giving a historically accurate depiction of Victorian life both upstairs and downstairs. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway is an exciting way to view the local area by steam train.
All five of the delightfully furnished and well appointed guest rooms at The Chapel have complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, flat screen colour TVs, alarm clocks, hairdryers, and a selection of hot beverages. Choose from single, twin, double and family rooms for your stay. Most of the guest rooms have great en-suite facilities, including one which is fully adapted for guests who use a wheelchair.
Included in your stay is a sumptuous full Cornish breakfast or a choice from our range of hot alternatives including Special Scrambled Eggs (made with smoked salmon and cream!) and organic porridge. Cold choices include cereals, fruit salad, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Add on the hot toast to complete the perfect meal. Of course our range of beverages is also comprehensive with a choice of fruit juice and coffee (including decaffeinated) and a range of teas and fruit infusions. Winter sees a change of menu, which makes kippers and various omelettes available. Naturally, vegetarian and vegan breakfasts can always be provided, gluten free, non dairy etc. can also be catered for, so just let Wendy or Chris know when you book.
If you need anything to make your stay even more perfect in this delightful Cornish bed and breakfast, Wendy and Chris are more than happy to help in any way they can.
