Travel to the delightful Cornish coast to visit Truro, Newquay, St Ives or Falmouth, and you will find The Driftwood Spars the perfect place to stay.
Located just three miles from the A30 at St Agnes, this charming award winning four star hotel in a delightful 17th century stone building, is a splendid spot for a family holiday, group get together, or a romantic weekend break: The hotel takes its name from the spars of wrecked ships which were used to build it, and which can be seen in the ceiling beams today. The local beach, Trevaunance Cove was the site of many shipwrecks in days gone by.
There are fourteen charmingly decorated bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower or bathroom, a complimentary selection of hot beverages, TV, telephone, and hairdryer.
Most rooms have magnificent sea views, and one special room has a Victorian half-tester bed. Both highchairs and cots are available should guests require them.
A gorgeous restaurant at The Driftwood Spars is situated in the hotel overlooking Trevaunance Cove, and offers dinners an amazing view to compliment their meal. As much regional and seasonal food as is possible is included on the terrific menu, including fish from Newlyn: The Sunday roast is something special!
As well as the restaurant, there are three delightfully cosy bars to choose from within the hotel, all with fantastic open fires and sea views, plus the bar food is just as amazing as the menu in the restaurant! The astonishing selection of wines on offer in the hotel will easily compliment any choice from the menus of all the bars and the restaurant.
It's not often that you find somewhere as exquisite as The Driftwood Spars hotel, not only for the hospitality and the splendid views, the restaurant and three stunning bars, but also because they have their own brewery making fine real ale to the delight of CAMRA: Choose from Badlands, Bawden Rocks, Bluehills, Blackheads Mild, Bolster's Blood, and Lou's Brew. To help wash down the fine ale you'll even find great live bands to amuse you. What more could you ask for!
